What you need to know. You will work as a Buyer / Planner for our client, a highly ambitious food manufacturing company in Longford . You will be responsible for all inventory management/control, stock accuracy, buying and production scheduling and planning. You will work alongside the supply chain team and report into the Supply Chain Manager. This is a permanent job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Partner with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality, quantity, and cost of materials and supplies. Sourcing, negotiating and purchasing raw materials, price and delivery to ensure optimal cost and performance. Monitors Days Forward Cover and Weeks of Supply levels working together with Logistics to ensure that inventory is available to support production. Assist in production in maintaining inventory at planned levels. Maintain production plans and schedules so that customer’s orders are filled on time and that production facility operates efficiently. Interface with other departments so that we provide customers with a quality product in a timely manner. Support the development and implementation of best practice procurement work processes across the Procurement organisation. Conduct daily/weekly meetings and follow up on production plans. What are we looking for? 3rd Level Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering ideally. 3+ years work experience of buying and planning in a manufacturing environment. Certification in APICS or related principle. Strong ERP experience and working knowledge of GMP. In-depth knowledge of order management, planning and scheduling.
