Patient Food Services Manager required for a 300 bed acute hospital in the North East on a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Catering Manager this role is primarily taking responsibilty for food production and delivery to patients in line with HSE guidelines. Knowledge and understanding of special diets will be an advantage. Experience in a similar role will be helpful. Key responsibilites will include but will not be limited to: Staff rostering and management. HACCP management. Liaise with hospital management on special diets. Oversee the delivery of meals to patients to ensure they are delivered in a timely manner. Assist with purchasing and stock management. Assist with maintaining all paperwork in an efficient manner to upload it on to the company system correctly. Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Understanding of management account systems. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to manage a team and communcate effectively with both staff and HSE. Ability to work as part of a team and work alone when required. This is largely a Monday to Friday role with the requirement to work the occasional weekend.
