Production Manager. Cavan. Sector: Manufacturing. We are working with one of Cavan's success stories to source a seasoned production manager to lead efficiencies in the production facility. Key Duties: * Lead and manage plant operations for production. * Ensure that SHEQ regulations are met and strongly promoted. * Liaise between plant Management, Design, Purchasing and production floor regarding daily assignment, ensuring MRP is optimised. * Liaise with Logistics to ensure completed orders are dispatched as per programme. * Management of factory material packs for Site Installs. * Develop and implement KPIs score card for safety, quality, performance excellence, absenteeism, housekeeping, stock take, area development. * Plan, schedule and coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. * Oversee the production process, follow the production schedule on Microsoft Teams, monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed. * Ensure that production is cost effective, materials are measured in line with BOM, waste measured and reduced - experience in a lean management approach would be beneficial but not essential. * Control and minimise lost labour hours through downtime. * Resource management - manning, identify training needs, review employee performance. * Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company's goals. * Provide ongoing direction, development and leadership to production supervision. * Develop SOP and make recommendations for improvement in overall areas. Requirements to do the role: - Proven experience in Production Management ideally in construction/manufacturing. - Experience in formulating and reporting on production related data. - Knowledge of Quality and H&S Management systems. - Strong leadership skills with a results driven approach. - The ability to follow a production schedule and execute tight deadlines.
