Process Engineer - Chemical. Role Type: Permanent. Role Location: Cavan. We have worked with this client for a number of years and they are an employer of choice in the area. Everyone we placed there has been very happy and are really enjoying the nature of their work. Role Scope. Improve the cost effectiveness of the manufacturing plant by ensuring the operation of the manufacturing equipment through out the site is optimised in terms of performance with respect to output rate, product quality, environmental impact and material consumption. The key areas of focus are around process preformance improvement, project delivery and people development. Key Deliverables. Active promotion of company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies. Improvement of plant performance with respect to line speed, material consumption and energy efficiency through root cause analysis. Reduction of process variation in the production processes. Definition and Implementation of best practice for production process's. Development of a high level of process technical competence within the manufacturing teams. Assist production teams in troubleshooting process and plant problems that affect yield, material efficiency and energy. Produce project proposals and implementation plans as required. Lead projects to reduce process variation as defined by the company. Deliver projects on time and within budget. Carryout EHS and Business Risk Assessments as part of the project management process as required. Participate in the commissioning of new equipment and the upgrade of existing equipment to the design specification. Work with process, electrical and mechanical engineering staff on FAT when required. Deliver best in class training materials and practices by working closely with the process engineers in each of the manufacturing plants. Train and develop factory personnel as required. Education & Knowledge. Process/Chemical Engineering Degree is highly regarded. Proven track record in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Report writing. Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and as part of a team. Analytical and good problem solving skills. Knowledge of CAPEX. Lean manufacturing. CAD/Solidworks. Project Management.
