This company is a global manufacturer & supply of electrical products; it designs, manufactures, markets & supports these internationally. With a turnover of €100M & an impressive order book & €60-70M of raw materials each year; they have a new role for a Materials & Warehousing Manager to oversee all materials from delivery to site, receipt, storage & issue in line with production schedules. Oversee all materials excellence in receiving, identifying, kitting, assuring quality & quantity of raw materials. Responsibilities. Measure & report on warehousing activities & employees' performance. Direct the stores daily activities via a Stores Foreman. Ensure receipt of goods & have POs; plus accurate & optimum storage locations. Devise best practice for accurate on time delivery to production locations. Define best delivery option & stock mgt for each location. Inventory mgt. via optimum issue, kitting, timely receipt & measurement of returns. Organise & maintain inventory storage areas, measure & report inventory transaction accuracy. Stock accuracy through inventory & cycle counting, control stock levels & maintain ERP accuracy. Work closely with suppliers of semi-finished goods. Identify & highlight slow moving goods. Maintain items record, document info & use reports to project warehouse status. Identify areas of improvement & establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures & practices. Ensure shipment & inventory transaction accuracy. Measure & report on warehousing activities & employees' performance. Communicate job expectations & coach employees & create & develop a team ethic. Drive company strategy & initiatives such as change & continuous improvements. Know the key trends such as AI, WMS interface, inventory controls systems & automation. You will have. Education to Dip. level in Warehouse mgt., logistics, Eng or Manuf. Mgt. 5 years plus working in materials & w/h mgt. role in a busy manufacturing plant. A track record of w/house mgt. techniques; set & maintain KPI's. Track record of leading & setting goals for performance & ops improvement. Excellent organisational skills. Strong awareness of how warehouse activities impact other areas of the organisation. Can analyse processes, enact change, be strategic operationally to achieve business goals. Ability to communicate, motivate, train & inspire others. Exp. in managing ERP & warehouse mgt. tools. Requirements & skills. Proven exp. as a materials and warehousing supervisor & techniques. Know warehouse software packages & MS Office. Ability to input, retrieve & analyse data. Hands-on commitment to getting the job done. Excellent comms & interpersonal skills. Proven ability to direct & coordinate operations. Strong organisational & time mgt. skills. A very competitive benefits package with on site working and parking.
