Technical Estimator - Junior. Permanent Role Cavan/Meath Border. Sector: Structural/Civil. My client is involved in the customised design of safe access equipment. Due to continued growth and expansion they are now seeking to hire a junior technical estimator to join their team on a permanent basis. If you have one year plus experience and would like to join a local successful operation where you will be mentored to grow and succeed, this is the role for you. Main Duties: üTender preparation including negotiation and closing sale. üIdentify new business opportunities. üLiaise closely with customers and develop professional rapport. üMaintain product & service competence. üManage and maintain estimating systems, as required. üPerform to agreed deadlines. Manage tender process through award process. üOperate to highest ethical standards. üEvaluate drawings and develop price accordingly. üOperate in close cooperation with design team, attend pre-contract meetings where appropriate. The ideal candidate will have. üRecognised qualification in estimating, construction management or similar. üComputer competence. Proficiency in AutoCAD, an advantage. ü1 years' experience in estimating/tendering, preferred. üWork within a team environment and contribute to team development. üAble to prioritise, systematic in approach and self-motivated.
