Description

The Role: Our Client, a manufacturer for the construction industry based in Cavan, is seeking to hire a Production Planner on a permanent contract. Reporting into Inventory and Scheduling Manager the Production Planner will have responsibility for the daily and weekly production plans for two production facilities to satisfy customer demands and optimise stock levels in line with operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance of Planned Production orders. Daily scheduling and dissemination of production plans for the two production facilities. Inventory Reconciliation & Control - daily, weekly and monthly inventory analysis and reporting. Inputting and Maintaining the SAP APO planning horizon and upload of plans to the Production Counting System (PCS. Accountability for CSI/CXI related to planning/production failures. Monitor and communicate potential stock-outs. Update and maintain product data. End to end management of Bespoke orders from BOMS, planning, warehousing through to shipment. Co-ordinate the weekly Production Meeting and draft plans for the coming week. Effective cross-functional working relationships with Inventory & Warehousing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing. Creating and maintaining new BOMs, routings and production versions for new products in line with process team. Ensure compliance with Internal Control requirements for the department. Support Medium Term Forecast (MTF) processes. Review and Amend Supply Plan Rules and Production Block Plans Quarterly. Input to annual Price Book Review supported with Supply Plan Rules & Trends. Participate in WCM activity and projects within the Supply Chain team. Conduct trend analysis of the department and planning KPI’s. Required Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Planning/Master Scheduling role. Experience working in a cross-functional team. Flexible and ability to work off own initiative. Proven ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure. Experience in Lean/WCM/Continuous Improvement programme an advantage. SAP, APO or other ERP system knowledge a prerequisite. MAPICS/APICS or similar desirable. Supply Chain qualification an advantage.
