Description

Procurement & Supplier Coordinator - County Cavan. In this role you will develop and implement supply chain management procedures in conjunction with the Quality, NPD and Procurement functions. As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will support the business by providing oversight of raw material and packaging supplier approval. In addition, you will ensure new and existing suppliers comply with all relevant quality, safety, legal and customer requirements, contributing towards the right-first-time finished product. Core aspects: Develop and manage the supplier management system, including PQQ's, vendor questionnaires, audit schedules and raw material risk assessments. Day to day order processing to ensure sufficient stock levels for production. Log, trend and issue supplier non-conformance reports and manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues. Manage the raw material supplier quality management review process, including preparation of data for the review, summarising the results, and communicating with all stakeholders. Contribute information to supplier scorecards. Manage and maintain weekly stock reports. Verify material handling procedures are as per company procedure at both intake and production. Trend stock usage vs forecast and report to all stakeholders. Ensure new suppliers associated with new product development have been appropriately risk assessed and suitable controls implemented. Lead compliance audits and keep documentation up to date on an ongoing basis. Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives within supplier and material quality. Support product quality evaluations and benchmarking. Keep site allergen database up to date and communicate changes. Ensure you are aware of and understand new and developing food legislation, food-related developments & trends & understand how this will impact the business & customers' needs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Be part of the Supplier Development Team. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure all suppliers are approved in compliance with procedures. Meet all customer & internal quality standards. Involvement in Customer / Quality audits / Regulatory visits as required. Provide detailed information and facts to support important standards and measures. Interested applicants should have relevant experience in a fast-paced factory environment. Experience in quality and supply chain systems, preferably from within a BRC approved manufacturing facility. Formal 3rd level qualification in food science/technology, procurement, supply chain or related discipline would be beneficial.
