Test Bay Technician - County Cavan. This is a rotational shift, alternating weeks, 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm. This role works in a technical team of electricians who provide testing service to 100% of product in the factory prior to shipping to customer. As Test Bay Technician you will ensure that all equipment is  tested as per the appropriate standard and customer requirements prior to release to Final Assembly. Responsibilities: To ensure that all equipment is ready for testing and is transferred into Test Bay for testing. Verify that job cards are properly signed for each operation carried out prior to Test Bay. Perform routine tests on all equipment as per internal procedure and the relevant customer specification. To initiate an NCR within the Q-Pulse system when a product fails. Identify and remove all non-conforming equipment to a designated area for rework or investigation. Assign correct serial numbers to all conforming equipment and transfer to the Final Assembly area. Carry out special or type test on equipment as and when required. To perform witness tests with customers. Carry out dielectric tests on finished equipment when required. To conduct dielectric breakdown voltage test as per incoming goods procedure. To provide support and advice to other departments as and when necessary. Requirements for this role: • Qualified Electrician. • Acute awareness of the importance of safety and quality. • Commitment to customer. • Team player. • Good work ethic. • Ability to do shift work and overtime when required.
